Fredon have this week hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at our Australian offices in an effort to raise funds for The Cancer Council.

The national initiative saw staff bringing in cakes, slices, scones, biscuits and many other sweet and savoury treats to share with their colleagues for a gold coin donation on Thursday, 24th May.

The Fredon BFAL Amberley team also hosted a Morning Tea on site at the RAAF project and successfully raised $286.70 for the cause.

A raffle of donated prizes at the Sydney office garnered an extra $600 and brought out a competitive spirit, with the winners taking home a 2018 signed GWS Giants Guernsey, WiFi Drone, bottle of Veuve Clicquot, Gold Class movie vouchers, a T2 gift pack, bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label and a Pantry Hamper pack.

When the name of Group Managing Director and CEO, David Simpson, was drawn out for first prize a collective “rigged” was called out before he charitably donated the prize back.

While proceeds are still rolling in through the donation web-page, as at this afternoon on Friday 25/05/18 the total raised across the nation has been $2773.75. Managing Director for Fredon Group, Alan Lipman also committed to matching the total amount, dollar-for-dollar, bringing the total funds raised to $5247.50.

This phenomenal result has only been possible with the efforts of the event cooridnators at each of the Fredon branches, as well as the support and participation from Fredon employees across Australia.

There is still time to donate online for this worthy cause.
