Fredon Air is a premier provider of HVAC services ranging from minor installations to complete building refurbishments. We have grown a highly skilled service team backed by systems and processes that leverage Fredon’s extensive experience and trading history.

Fredon Air employ experienced, qualified refrigeration technicians and engineers who are trained to view each element as part of a complex system that is required to function efficiently and reliably.

Our team is experienced in a wide variety of work from chiller servicing through to installation of VRV refrigeration systems. Our team have extensive experience with critical systems and raised floor environments.

Our Service and Maintenance team offer customised maintenance plans and caters to client’s equipment and business needs.

Fredon HVAC provides mechanical engineering expertise to back up our service and maintenance capabilities as required. Many of our in-house engineers are also Greenstar qualified – and all have a current and working knowledge of applicable standards and mandated requirements. With Fredon’s in-house engineering, CAD and 3D capabilities, Fredon is able to offer a ’one stop shop’ service for our clients.

Preventative maintenance through regular servicing prevents emergency repairs – keeping your business running and reducing downtime. Whilst we are always ready to attend unscheduled outages we believe prevention is better than cure.

Fredon HVAC will customise a preventative maintenance plan to suit each clients’ business requirements. These plans are designed to increase equipment life and maximise the return of your assets.

All preventative maintenance planning will start with a full equipment audit conducted by a senior technician or engineer. The audit process is key to the development of a suitable plan – so Fredon ensures these are conducted with attention to detail resulting in a complete and accurate asset list.

These asset lists are then matched against service tasking schedules, which outline exactly what tasks are to be performed on each asset. This takes into account equipment age, condition and any site specific or client specific requirements.

Our management and co-ordination team then devise an annual calendar of tasks which ensures services are conducted regularly and at set intervals. Tasks are assigned to technicians on a weekly basis. Technicians return service reports that include time spent, materials and spares required and any recommended actions. All information is reviewed by management and communicated to our clients.

Preventative maintenance activities highlight and avoid unscheduled outages – and as a result maintenance plans are under subject to constant review and adjustment.

All maintenance activities are designed to meet or exceed Australian Standards, manufacturer recommendations and client corporate guidelines whilst being performed in the framework of the Fredon and site OH&S management plans.

Our technicians are inducted to site safety plans as well as Fredon management ensuring complete site familiarity. This means our team pays special attention to processes related to security, access control, operating hours and other site specific requirements.

While our preventative maintenance is designed to avoid unscheduled outages we are always ready and prepared to respond when required.

Fredon HVAC is responsible for a portfolio of corporate and government clients who run 24 hour 365 day critical environments – including crucial data centre infrastructure. Fredon meets and exceeds these requirements through our 24 hours 7 day response capability.

To ensure prompt and effective service for emergency call-outs and additional services Fredon provides the following:

  • We operate a 24 hour Helpline and all calls out of hours are diverted to our paging company who contact an on-call service technician.
  • Our on-call service technicians are inducted into relevant sites
  • Should the technician not respond to the service call within 10 minutes, the matter is escalated to a set procedure to the Client Services coordinator and Client Services Manager up to the General Manager and thereafter the directors of Fredon Air.
  • Should further expertise be required our team of engineers are available to complement our technicians

Temporary cooling

Fredon Air also has temporary cooling available for hire to alleviate any temporary or spot cooling requirements. Our team will deliver and professionally install these units and remove them when no longer required.
