Project Description

The tallest building in Brisbane commands the river and is a showcase for advanced electrical features built and maintained by Fredon to the highest standards of functionality and finish. Our electrical work has won two NECA QLD environment and efficiency awards in successive years for different innovations.

Fredon was engaged by Multiplex to execute the electrical and fire detection system to the base building and fit-out of the building.

Works included the following:

  • General light & power
  • Access control system, CCTV system
  • HV Consumer Mains
  • Diesel Power Generation
  • Substations
  • Lightning protection
  • Audio-visual cabling
  • Structured cabling system
  • MATV system
  • EMI shielding
  • Infrared hearing augmentation system
  • Audio frequency induction loop system
  • Lighting control system
  • Energy monitoring system
  • Fire Detection and EWIS System

A considerable amount of new research went into the technology at the design and engineering stage based on our understanding of the whole life cycle of buildings that we service.

The Fire Detection system was designed to meet compliance standards of AS 1670.1 & 1670.4 and AS1668.1. It was also designed to meet the overall aesthetics that the Architect was trying to achieve.

The smart and innovative use of DALI (digitally addressable lighting interface) ensures the building will make substantial and quantifiable savings on maintenance and running costs for up to 15 years into the future.

This skyscraper is a prime example of the advantages that building owners can obtain from Fredon’s integrated engineering, construction and property services offering.
