The RAAF Pearce Flightline Shelter Project was a highly technical project which highlighted Fredon’s abilities to deliver the highest possible quality workmanship in a challenging environment within a strict timeline.

The principal contractor, Laing O’Rourke assigned Fredon with the task to complete the electrical components of the project. Fredon worked closely with the client’s design team to deliver the installation of 21 pre-constructed modules on to an existing live shelter without disrupting the operations on the military base.

The project had fixed time frames with non-negotiable installation dates. In addition, the team had a limited two-hour period for the installation and cutover of the shelters. This emphasised the need for all works to be accurate and precise as there was limited time to refine the installations.

The project commenced in June 2018 and was completed in November 2018.

In August 2019, The WA Chapter of the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) awarded the project with NECA WA Excellence Award for Best Small Industrial Project.
