Technology division have won the Crestron Project of the Year – Commercial award for the fitout of Westpac Barangaroo, which certainly gave Fredon’s Technology division an opportunity to demonstrate their expertise. The project was unusual for its scale (it covered 28 floors); a compressed timeframe and the high level of commitment from the client to achieving a truly modern workplace. Fredon was involved in developing the specifications as the project was delivered, and maintained a close relationship with Westpac.
Brenden Doyle from Crestron wrote: “not only did the project receive the award but it was also profiled in a presentation to the industry as part of our forum. The presentation was given by Westpac’s Michael Blitz who eloquently illustrated the challenges of delivering such a massive and complex project. He spoke glowingly of Fredon and their work. The project is an outstanding representation of commercial workplace design and how technology facilitates changing work practices.”
