Fredon Wins At NECA 2024 NSW Awards

The NSW Chapter of the National Electrical and Communication Association (NECA) held its annual NECA State Awards for 2024 on 20th September 2024. These awards highlight the achievements of individuals and companies in the Electrical and Communication industry. 

We are honoured to share that the Fredon NSW team was recognised in several categories including Winning the Commercial Large Projects & Industrial Small Projects awards as well as apprentice Tayla Hayes winning the ELV/ Communications Apprentice of the Year Award.

NSW State Winner Commercial Large Projects: Randwick Campus Redevelopment

Fredon Electrical NSW was proud to be a pivotal part of the Prince of Wales Hospital Acute Services Building’s Electrical infrastructure project. The team showcased their dedication to innovation and excellence. In navigating the project’s intricacies, they seamlessly designed and delivered cutting-edge solutions, including a sophisticated high-voltage network. Fredon Electrical NSW were recognised for their hard work and were awarded at the NECA NSW Awards for Commercial Large projects. Congratulations to all involved in this project.

NSW State Winner Industrial Small Projects: Pipe & Tube Mill

Congratulations to the NSW Electrical team for being recognised for their hard work and awarded at the NECA 2024 NSW Awards for Industrial Small projects.

Fredon Electrical NSW was proud to play a pivot role in BlueScope’s ground-breaking Pipe & Tube Mill project, the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Fredon navigated the project’s complexities, and seamlessly designed and delivered cutting-edge solutions, including a state-of-the-art electrical distribution system.  Congratulations to everyone involved in this project.

NSW State Work, Health & Safety Highly Commended: VOC LV Testing & Fault-Finding

Fredon were Highly Commended in the Work, Health & Safety category for its implementation of the Verification-of-Competency (VOC) for Low-Voltage Testing & Fault-Finding training initiative. Which is aimed at enhancing safety standards across the organisation nationwide. The VOC training represents Fredon’s significant investment and commitment to WHS excellence. It is a comprehensive approach to WHS training, offering biennial sessions with a four-hour runtime to ensure employees stay updated on the latest safety procedures and industry standards. Congratulations to Ian Montague, who spearheaded this initiative and brought this course come into fruition.

NSW State Winner ELV/ Communications Apprentice of the Year: Tayla Hayes

Congratulations to Tayla Hayes for winning the NECA NSW ELV/Communications Apprentice of the Year award. Tayla has been recognised for her commitment to work, willingness, and eagerness to learn. She is enthusiastic about bettering herself as a tradesperson, and her confidence and positive attitude inspire her team. Congratulations, Tayla, and keep up the great work!

The Fredon NSW team were also finalists in two other categories on the night, Industrial Large Project for the WestConnex 3B Rozelle Interchange project and the Innovation category for Cable Ladder Installation Platform.

It was a successful night for the NSW Electrical team, who will now go on to the NECA National Excellence Awards.
