Congratulations to Scott Gilbert, Fredon HSEQ Coordinator, on receiving the inaugural MATES in Construction Martin Medal at the MATES Queensland Charity Lunch.
The Martin Medal is awarded to young construction workers who have shown exemplary efforts in supporting their workplace in mental health and wellbeing.
From the time Scott started with Fredon as a Health and Safety Representative he has always shown genuine care for workers and apprentices, not just for their safety but also their wellbeing.
Andrew Campbell, Fredon’s National Safety Manager, shared:
“Scott has a gift of communicating with people on all levels, both on and off site and isn’t afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve when talking to our workforce, clients and contractors.
“Our industry is a better place with him in it as he has been such a strong supporter of mental wellbeing over many years.”
Congratulations Scott, thank you for your efforts to improve mental health and wellbeing in Fredon and our industry.
